Mew and Me is an app available for both Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, wherein your cat can play a variety of games specifically designed for cats. The app has been around for a while now already, and to be honest we all should be ashamed that we haven’t known about it until now. How on earth have your cats been entertaining themselves this whole time?
The app was conceptualized and created by a small team of cat lovers headed by game designer and Mew and Me CEO Willem Delventhal. The whole thing started as an idea by Delventhal born out of the extreme guilt he felt around leaving his beloved cat Fez alone all day whilst he was out doing pointless things like “earning a living” or whatever.
So the idea of Mew and Me was settled upon: a series of games that automatically cycle throughout the day on a tablet (or smartphone, but you’ll probably be needing that while you’re out and about) that your cats can play at their leisure. The games include super cat-fun things like swatting bugs and smacking a mouse that moves around the screen, which accumulate scores based on the number of successful tiny lil paw taps made on the moving thingies.
