Walmart is offering a lifeline to folks looking to purchase Ghost of Tsushima or Paper Mario: The Origami King, or both, this week.
It could be a pretty expensive middle of the month for gamers who own both a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, with both titles set for launch on July 17. Anyone keen on snagging both of these games on launch day can expect to be set back a cool $120 unless they head to Walmart - yeah, they’re actually encouraging prospective buyers to come to the store rather than shop from home at a time when it should be the other way around. But both games will be available for $49.99 each as long as you’re fine with shopping physically, according to Gamespot.
Gamers could input their zip codes via BrickSeek to ascertain as to whether their local Walmart outlet is offering the deal, which remains a typical $60 on the retail chain’s website.
For fans who aren’t close to a Walmart or can’t be bothered to step out to buy physical copies of games, there are probably a few other deals that can be found online through a diligent search. Gamespot, for one, is offering an exclusive pin set for Paper Mario while the PlayStation Store has a deluxe edition of Ghost of Tsushima that comes with some cool add-ons.
Getting the standard version of the game still gets you a neat theme and avatar. Ghost of Tsushima has been available for pre-load for a few days now and you get a soundtrack alongside as well.
Here’s to happy gaming this weekend.
