You can now pre-order Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus for £59.99. The remakes will be launching on November 19 while Arceus comes out on January 22, 2022.

Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of Pokémon’s fourth generation that launched back in 2006, nearly 15 years ago. These were originally for the DS, but the remakes will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, sporting 3D graphics that retain the chibi art style.

Each game has an exclusive list of Pokémon. In Diamond, you’ll find Seel, Dewgong, Scyther, Scizor, Kecleon, Larvitar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Poochyena, Mightyena, Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Murkrow, Honchkrow, Cranidos, Rampardos, Stunky, Stuntank, and Dialga.

Meanwhile, in Pearl, you can find Slowpoke, Slowbro, Slowking, Pinsir, Misdreavus, Houndour, Houndoom, Stantler, Spheal, Sealeo, Walrein, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Mismagius, Glameow, Purugly, and Palkia.

It’s unclear if any of the prior Pokémon Platinum exclusives will make their way to the remakes, such as the staggering extra 69 Pokémon that it brought or the unique upside-down dimension of Giratina, but it’s a safe bet that the differentiating in catchable Pokémon will be present.

Whatever choice you make, you’ll be able to dive into the Sinnoh region later this year, battling against the infamous Team Galactic while, in true Pokémon fashion, becoming the very best, attempting to catch ’em all.
