It’s now possible for you Mac owners to play VALORANT on the Macs that you own, thanks to Rainway. What is Rainway, you ask? Well, it’s a bit of a game-changer, so to speak.
These guys are committed to “breaking down the barriers that keep gamers from playing the games they own the way they want to play them, and to building a positive community of people who share our love for gaming.”
Rainway makes use of the Pulsar Engine, which is apparently super fast, powerful, and fully compatible with all existing hardware. It can “capture gameplay in real-time and quickly encode Full-HD 60 FPS to a video stream in just a few milliseconds,” boasting ultra-low-delay game streaming and superior performance.
So in their most recent changelog, Rainway revealed a handful of improvements to their tech. This includes increased speeds and decreased latency, as well as expanded browser support which now includes Safari.
All you have to do is download the Rainway Dashboard to the same (Windows 10-equipped) PC where your games are installed, then connect a Rainway App (say, from within your Mac’s Safari browser or via Rainway’s mobile app for iOS or Android), and you’ll be ready to play.
“Designing for cross-browser compatibility opens our work up to the broadest possible audience and market,” they write. The tech team’s mission is thus to make Rainway the most accessible game streaming service in the world.
