Yakuza: Like a Dragon just got rated by both the ESRB and PEGI, and you won’t believe the stuff you’ll be getting up to in this game.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon arrives later this year. We don’t have a release date, but we do know that it’ll launch along with the Xbox Series X, so as soon as we hear about the new console getting a launch date, we’ll know when we can expect the new Yakuza game.

In the meantime, pre-orders are open now, and you can even get a sweet 14-minute long trailer thanks to the recent IGN Summer of Gaming.

But if you want the real inside scoop to what’s going on in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, you gotta check out the recently released ratings from both ESRB and PEGI. Both gave the game a pretty high rating, with the ESRB handing Yakuza an M, while PEGI gave it an 18+ rating. That means Like a Dragon is for adults only, and it’s not hard to see why.

We’re going to head into spoiler territory here a bit, so if you want the game to be a complete surprise, you can skip this next bit.

First, there are the usual descriptions of graphic violence, including one dude getting his eyeballs squashed by another character’s thumbs Game of Thrones style. But the really gross bit has to do with the game’s “sexual material.”

A special move called “Extreme Bondage Attack” where a woman ties up her opponent in lingerie is fine, but when characters start “discussing selling porn videos to underage kids,” we start to get a bit of the heebies.

At one point, a character is seen “cleaning up soiled tissues in a brothel” and then remarking that, “Bodily fluids really aren’t my thing.” Excuse me while I throw up in my mouth a little.

Oh, and you can get drunk too. Which honestly, seems like the most wholesome thing in the world by comparison.

If you can’t wait for Yakuza: Like a Dragon and its various soiled tissue collecting mini-games, you can grab the Yakuza Kiwami 2 remake on Xbox One and Windows PC on July 30 and get it for free on Xbox Game Pass.
