Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon was released in Asia on January 16th. Although a western release has not been mentioned much, a leak from SteamDB points to a potential PC release. Yakuza 7 was expected to be a PlayStation exclusive, however, SteamDB is usually reliable in leaking products moving to Steam.

The leak is listed as an unknown app, but clearly has the Yakuza 7 cover art. If the game is released on Steam worldwide, it will most likely be a huge success due to more and more people using Steam amid coronavirus social distancing. There is still no indication of when the game could be released on Steam, or when the western world will get a PlayStation release.

The western world will most likely get a release date later on in the year, as only one Yakuza game in the past never made it to America. However, several Yakuza games are not available on PC, so the newest release potential going to Steam is very exciting.

Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon follows a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, as he builds a new life after jail. This is a change for the Yakuza franchise because most of the games follow the same protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu. However, he does make an appearance in the game. If the SteamDB leak is accurate, players in America will have a chance to play the game on Steam in the future.

Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon is available exclusively in Asia on PS4.
