Bloober Team opens up pre-orders for its upcoming horror game, The Medium. Last week, the developer shared a new trailer for The Medium, detailing its dual-reality gameplay and how players will be able to control a character in the real and spirit worlds.
The Medium is now available for pre-order on Steam for PC and on the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X. The game, which is an Xbox Series X launch exclusive, will be available on the console at launch though players can pre-order it now to get it on release day.
The Steam version of the game comes with two pre-order bonuses and a 10% discount. The “only on Steam” pre-order pack features The Medium soundtrack and The Art of The Medium digital album. Given that The Medium’s soundtrack is worked on by Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka and Layers of Fear composer Arkadiusz Reikowski, the soundtrack is more likely to cause nightmares than give fans something to dance to.
While pre-order information is positive, it’s unclear if this means that Bloober Team is planning The Medium’s release date announcement soon, and by extension, if this means that Xbox Series X launch date news is coming. A Microsoft executive may have teased an Xbox Series X launch for November but until an official confirmation is made, fans won’t know for sure.
The Medium is currently in development.
