Microsoft is fresh off of its Xbox Games Showcase where it detailed a ton of games and 11 world premieres. Microsoft is creating an exciting launch for the Xbox Series X and promises fans that they will have over 100 titles available to play at launch.
During the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft offered plenty of news and announcements to make fans very excited. The big story going into the show was the reveal of Halo Infinite’s campaign. Halo Infinite is available on the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X which lines up with how Microsoft is approaching its games library for the next generation of consoles.
At the tail end of the Xbox Games Showcase, Head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty listed off some key information for Xbox owners. Most importantly, those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass can expect to have those games available on the Xbox Series X at launch. And every game shown during the Xbox Games Showcase will be available in the Xbox Game Pass or free-to-play when they launch. This means that anyone picking up an Xbox Series X at launch will have access to over 100 titles right away. This would give Xbox Series X the biggest game launch line-up for any console ever.
Xbox Game Pass continues to be one of the best deals in gaming. With a subscription, fans can happily enjoy upcoming titles such as Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport, State of Decay 3, and more. Recently, Xbox announced that it was combining Xbox Game Pass and its xCloud streaming service at no additional cost. xCloud is Microsoft’s service that allows players to play their Xbox games anywhere on their phone or tablet.
There are currently 15 teams at Xbox Game Studios and nine of them showed off games during the Xbox Games Showcase. Five of those titles were world premieres including the announcement of a new Fable game from Playground Studios. No other information was offered other than the announcement but the news does put plenty of wide-spread rumors to rest.
Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Series X won’t have exclusives for a while, this means that a ton of games promoted for the Xbox Series X will be available on PC and the Xbox One. The inclusive approach Microsoft has for its consoles and PC players is a huge win for the gaming giant. Microsoft and Xbox aren’t looking to leave any player behind just yet and are working tirelessly to ensure that everyone in its ecosystem is included in its future plans.
The Xbox Series X is scheduled to release this Holiday.
