The Undertaker describing how he would go about defeating a Fall Guy isn’t a crossover we ever expected to hear but hey, it’s 2020, apparently, anything can happen.
WWE 2K released its latest offering a little over a week ago in the form of WWE 2K Battlegrounds. Although not a groundbreaking next chapter in its pro wrestling video game journey, it hasn’t received the backlash that WWE 2K20 was hit with, so that’s a start. You can check out exactly what we here at TheGamer thought of WWE 2K20 via our review.
Perhaps things would have been different had 2K had The Undertaker at its disposal to promote last year’s game, but probably not. The Deadman has hung up his wrestling boots for good since then and has been dropping his persona for media and interview opportunities more often off the back if it. That has included a lot of promotion for WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
One of those opportunities came in the form of a unique interview with Gaming Bible. During it, The Undertaker was asked how he would go about defeating a number of iconic video game characters if he were faced with them in real life. The scenarios thrown at him included showdowns with a bean from Fall Guys, a car from Forza, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Rayman, among others.
The answers given by the retired wrestler ranged from mildly amusing to downright dark. Although we wouldn’t have pegged The Deadman for an avid gamer, he appeared to know a fair bit about some of the characters mentioned. He knew about Sonic’s affinity for chili dogs, for example. In fact, Taker posited that he would have Sonic gorge himself on the savory snack before returning to the scene of the meal and delivering a chokeslam to the blue hedgehog.
It also sounds like The Undertaker is one of the millions of people around the world to have been caught up in the Fall Guys hype. The wrestler’s plan for taking down one of the game’s beans is simply to knock it off balance and push it off a ledge. Not nearly as sinister as what he has planned for Rayman, who Taker said he woluld catch with a net and bury alive.
