We see Destiny players solo raid bosses all the time, but that feat is a little more rare in an MMO like World of Warcraft. Going back and solo’ing old raid bosses from prior expansions is a common undertaking, but solo’ing a raid boss from the current era of content is a lot more impressive. That’s what a World of Warcraft player recently did when they entered the Emerald Nightmare alone and took on Xavius without any support.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Legion raid content, Xavius is the lone boss in the Rift of Aln wing of the Emerald Nightmare raid. Usually this boss is tackled with a large group of friends or through the Looking For Raid tool, but one particularly brave warlock decided to destroy the final boss without any help at all.

Here’s a look at the surprisingly short fight. MrNinjaBurger really makes it look too easy…

The player was running with an impressive item level of 958. For those familiar with the current meta, the player was setup with  79/80 points, standard raid talents, and Prydaz and Soul of the Netherlord.

As players continue to dominate the final months of Legion content, it seems likely that we will continue to see many players start entertaining themselves with challenges like this one. We certainly aren’t complaining…

World of Warcraft is available now on PC. Expect news regarding the Battle for Azeroth expansion’s release date in the weeks or months to come.
