Thanos is back in the new Wizkids game Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers Infinity Gauntlet. Can you beat him and his cronies, or will you be snapped out of existence?

Dice Masters is a collectible dice building game by creators Mike Elliot and Eric M. Lang and is owned by Wizkids. It is a dice building game where teams of characters are assembled and face off against each other over a series of turns. Players take actions and roll dice to determine the results with the aim to do damage to their opponent. The first player to reach zero life points loses. Dice Master games are cross-compatible across the different franchises, with the likes of DC, Marvel, WWE, and D&D releasing sets over the years. Players typically start by buying a starter or campaign set to get started. These are usually of fixed content and contain everything needed to start playing. There are also team packs that contain pre-built teams ready to fight when combined with a starter set. Players could historically expand their collection by buying blind bags containing random cards and dice.

Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers Infinity Gauntlet breaks the trend that saw Wizkids move away from blind bag distribution and instead move to fixed campaign boxes and team packs. Wizkids says these are back by popular demand and players can now expand their games and collect over 150 different cards and their dice. There are over 35 heroes and villains to collect with many having cards that reflect their time spent with the infinity stones.

The collectible aspect has moved away from blind bags into the preferred format of Draft Boxes. Each box contains:

  • 3 FULL ART Basic Action Cards! 12 FULL ART Character or Action Cards! Randomly inserted FOIL cards! 24 dice (2 to match each character or action card) 1 rules insert Additional Information

These will feel equally at home as part of a collection but players will be pleased to hear that they have been optimized for the draft format. Great news for tournament and sealed box play.

Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers Infinity Gauntlet is due out soon and can be pre-ordered direct from the Wizkids Web Store or from your local independent games store.
