Wizkids has set a release date for their latest premiere Heroclix figure, Galactus - Devourer of Worlds. And what can we say… it’s a bit on the big side. One might even say, it’s on a galactic scale.

Galactus - Devourer of Worlds, is the latest in a long range of Heroclix tabletop game figures released by Wizkids. He is currently the subject of fan discussion as the moment, as pundits try and work out what’s going to happen next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Galactus is one of the favorites to be the next bad guy that the remaining Avengers, accompanied by new friends no doubt, will face off against. Does this release point us in that direction, or is just a figure of an iconic Marvel villain? Could it not just be time for that the most powerful supervillain in the multiverse to receive the appropriate recognition? Only time will tell.

Coming in at over a foot tall, this figure is not for the faint of heart, especially at a whopping $99.99. Buyers can expect something special for their hard-earned cash as Wizkids claims to have pushed the boundaries with the sculpting for this figure, with “detail pushed beyond anything ever seen.” Bold claims to make in the miniature gaming scene!

This is one Heroclix not to mess with as it comes with not one, not two, not three but four dials! Yes! You read that right, four dials. Two of the dials are for health alone giving you 32 clicks. The remaining two bring new features to the game, with one (a Herald Dial) allowing another character to serve him, and the remaining dial (an Elemental Converter Dial) that allows Galactus to eat the map. You can play Galactus on his own or as part of a larger force. Either way, he is going to be a challenge and best fought by a party of characters.

This colossal entry to the Heroclix universe is due to release in August at $99.99 and is available to preorder at your local independent games stores as well as the Wizkids web store. The fate of the Earth is in your hands. Assemble!
