Wizards of the Coast’s latest teaser for Mythic Odysseys of Theros shows us exactly what’s in the book. Or at least, what’s on each page in the book.

It’s a table of contents. Sure, this isn’t nearly as exciting as being given a few tantalizing pages or colorful designs as we were earlier this month, but there’s still some interesting information to be gleaned even from just this list of pages.

The first section gives us a rundown on character creation, including Theros’ races, gods, and whatnot. There’s nothing new here (we were already provided with a list of races and gods in the earlier teaser), but there are a few new subclasses worth noting.

First is the College of Eloquence, almost certainly a new bard subclass. Judging by the name, it’ll either be focused on speech writing and public speaking, or just being a playwright–pretty on the nose for a bard.

Second is the Oath of Glory, a new Paladin subclass. If we had to guess, this one will tie into being a champion for a specific god and then going out and slaying powerful beasts in Heliod’s name or whatever. There are officially 16 gods to choose from, so likely the god you pick will determine something about the boon you’re granted.

There’s also a new background that makes being a professional athlete a thing. The Athlete background is almost certain to provide players with proficiency in Athletics, and likely Acrobatics too.

Lots of pages are devoted to every corner of Theros so that players can create their own homebrew campaign in the setting. Around 40 or so pages are also devoted to discussing monsters and enemies found in Theros, including Chimera, Cerberi, Eidolons, Harpies, Hydras, and more.

Mythic Odysseys of Theros will arrive digitally on Tuesday, June 2, but won’t arrive physically until July 21. COVID is causing problems with global supply chains for printers, but the internet is still as fast as ever.
