The Kit comes with a variety of items forged to give DMs quick access to tools and info often needed when running encounters in wilderness, forest, jungles, swamps, and other such wooded locations. The Kit’s core component is a four-panel DM screen that includes a compilation of wilderness-based rules and info tables “for weather, foraging, food and water needs, wilderness navigation, and both airborne and waterborne vehicle speeds.” The reverse (player) side is adorned with art depicting dragons flying over a wilderness that adjoins a snow-capped mountain range.
The Kit also includes a player reference sheet listing Actions in Combat, and player cards detailing the 14 Conditions that can be imposed upon characters and creatures. As an added bonus, and in line with the Kit’s theme, there are additional player cards describing “rules and illustrations for Exhaustion, Extreme Cold, Extreme Heat, and Strong Winds.”
A dry-erase hex grid map also comes with the Kit, along with a dry-erase player Journey Tracker, which is described for use “to keep track of party resources”. All of this looks to come packed in a pretty but standard slim WotC box, with the player condition and initiative cards having their own separate storage box.
