Developer Bohemia Interactive has announced the Arma 3 Art of War contest, where artists and fans will be able to submit their original 2D art and 3D asset creation. These creations could be selected in what will ultimately form an upcoming charity DLC to aid the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Submissions are open now and close on July 15, 2020, so there is plenty of time to create something.
Once the submissions have been chosen and incorporated as DLC, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the ICRC in support of assisting with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to continued humanitarian efforts for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. The price of the charity DLC has not yet been determined, but is expected to be $2.99 USD, with two optional higher tiers of $9.99 and $19.99.
Eventually, the DLC will be distributed to all players for free and the total funds raised will be announced.
Submissions can be made to four distinct contest categories, featuring props, character accessories, character clothing, and a special 2D artwork category in any medium with a focus on International Humanitarian Law in future conflict. Winners will be displayed in a virtual in-game gallery, and prizes range from Wacom drawing tablets, professional art supplies, and being featured in the game credits.
