There’s few things players can’t do in the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Marriage is one fun little aspect of the game that not only can score the player a companion to travel with but also some extra money if their husband or wife stays at home to keep a shop. But among all the NPCs of Skyrim, it’s hard to choose one’s true love. Thankfully, this zodiac guide will shed some light on compatibilities.
12 Aries: Marcurio
An Aries loves people who are confident with fiery personalities and a little bit of sass to top it off. This matches their super dynamic lifestyles as well, and makes for some excellent banter.
Marcurio is the ultimate sassy character for an Aries. He can be found in the Bee and Barb in Riften, offering his companionship for a price.
11 Taurus: Lydia
Taurus are known to be nurturing and strong individuals. Their loyalty needs to me matched for them to be happy in a relationship and find meaning in it. As such, they’ll match well with a few of the housecarls.
Lydia is perhaps one of the best housecarls available in the game. She’s loyal, caring and protective. Her sentimentality will compliment the steadfast nature of any Taurus. She’ll join the Dragonborn during the main quest.
10 Gemini: Benor
Geminis tend to be a more emotional version of Aries. They have that natural curiosity and eagerness that makes them open-minded and easily excited by new things. As such, they’ll appreciate someone with high energy and competitiveness.
Benor might be a bit of a brute, but he’s a fighter by nature and ready to prove himself worthy. In fact, to gain his favor, he needs to be fought in Morthal and defeated.
9 Cancer: Jenassa
All things must in be in balance, and Cancers understand this. They’re very emotional individuals, and they value depth and trust above all things. Only an individual as serious and as committed as them can win their heart over.
While Jenassa might be a bit cold and possesses questionable morality, she’ll take time to warm up just like a Cancer and the bond that forms between her and the player is unbreakable, in both good and bad.
8 Leo: Aela The Huntress
Leos are born leaders. No matter what they do, they do things their way. Although they might be considered a bit dramatic, Leos are highly charismatic and strong individuals who’ll appreciate loyal companions.
Aela is one of the best companions in the game, and one of the most popular ones too. She’s a very loyal and gentle follower, with great potential in combat. In many ways, she’s the friend a Leo needs in a pinch.
7 Virgo: Argis The Bulwark
Virgos want relationships that are comfortable and reliable, based on solid foundations. As such, they need someone who’ll appreciate their practical approach to life and stand by their side no matter what.
For such a reliable partner, Argis The Bulwark is a great match. He’s a housecarl and gets unlocked when the player has gained the favor of Markarth’s Jarl. Loyal and steadfast, he’s also an excellent fighter.
6 Libra: Balimund
For a Libra, nothing is more important than love language. Libras tend to be very open about their relationship and enjoy showing off their love for another person, as well as basking in their attention.
Balimund’s strong personality and to-the-point way of speaking will charm any Libra. He’s attentive and leader-like, and can be found working steel at his forge in Riften.
5 Scorpio: Muiri
Stubborn yet very intelligent, Scorpios have a tough shell for most people to break. However, getting past their defenses make them twice as much worth the effort. Resourceful and brave, they don’t give up easily.
Muiri’s sweetness and determined personality will impress any Scorpio at first sight. She’s an inhabitant of Markarth, and after a favor, she’s available for marriage.
4 Sagittarius: Mjoll The Lioness
For a Sagittarius the main challenge is to find someone who can match their energy. They’re very dynamic and always on the go, with a bright, optimistic outlook on life. Paired with a sense of humor, they just need a partner who can keep up.
Mjoll The Lioness is an inhabitant of Riften with a strong sense of justice and a down to earth personality. Not only will she have the strength to keep up with a Sagittarius, she’ll also help to ground them.
3 Capricorn: Vilkas
Capricorns are not easy partners due to their serious personalities. They’re very determined, focused and disciplined, which can be a lot to handle for many, but also a strength worth appreciating.
Vilkas is one of the best companions to appreciate such discipline. He’s highly devoted to the cause of the Companions, and will accept the same degree of focus from his partner without finding them cold.

Pisces is best known for being an affectionate and emotional zodiac type, one that brings out that very same side in other people. Due to this, Pisces will thrive with a companion who’s more reserved at first.
Brelyna is an apprentice at the College of Winterhold, and while her mind is focused on bettering herself as a mage, there’s much to know about her that only a Pisces can unlock.
