There are a wide variety of disturbing and horrific creatures in the Witcher 3: undead creatures hellbent on revenge, immortal beings with ruthless ambitions, and relicts that tirelessly serve the master that created them. Each has their unique ambitions and personalities that dictate their actions.
For those who are curious about which horrific entities they relate to the most, it can be a fun experiment to stack them up against traits defined by your Zodiac. Obviously, you won’t find very many kind or compassionate undead spirits. But, when comparing these monstrosities to your worst days you might find something in common.
12 Aquarius: Kikimore Workers
Kikimore Workers are a type of insectoid known for their industrious and resourceful nature. Bearing an appearance somewhere between an ant, a spider, and corpse they tirelessly work to expand the tunnels of their colony, gather food, and give up their lives to protect the queen.
Aquarius bears many traits similar to these creatures. They’re known to be very calculating and great planners. Attributes that are helpful when expanding a colony. Their loyalty and need to fight for a cause would make them devoted and capable Kikimore Workers that protect and expand the queen’s power.
11 Pisces: Banshee
Banshees are spirits that wander the world bearing dire warnings of impending doom or death. While not outright hostile their presence is a foul sign as their cries, howls, and shrieks will identify those who are fated for death.
Pisces are known for being a bit over-emotional at times and enjoy a good cry now and then. As Banshees not only would they be able to cry to their heart’s content, but it would serve a practical purpose of letting others know about their unfortunate fates.
10 Aries: Werebear
Werebears are warriors who through a cultish ritual involving psilocybe mushrooms and cannibalistic sacrifice gain the ability to turn from men into bloodthirsty beasts with ferocious strength, aggression, and appetites. A Werebear will not cease their hostilities until they or the source of their anger lies bloody on the ground.
Aries with their determination, moodiness, and tendency to become aggressive would thrive as Werebears. Letting an Aquarius succumb to battle rage and transforming into beasts of savage anger and might would be a terrifying foe for any Witcher.
9 Taurus: Higher Vampire
Higher Vampires are intelligent and immortal beings who bear remarkable similarities to humans. A notable difference is their taste for blood, which functions as something akin to alcohol. They prefer a life of luxury and adventure to fill the tedium of immortality.
Taurus would make good Higher Vampires given their desire for comfort, independence, and their enjoyment of challenges. But, like Higher Vampires, they very much oppose change, especially when it interferes with their way of life and trying to restrict their ability to live life as they wish can unleash a darker, more bestial side that lurks just under the surface.
8 Gemini: Doppler
Dopplers are horrendously ugly beings who desire to live a life of comfort and luxury, but given their nature are typically unable to achieve this. To compensate they have shapeshifting abilities that allow them to replicate the appearance, nature, and actions of anyone they know relatively well. This allows them to insert themselves into lives of luxury and comfort after they dispose of those whose lives they take over of course.
Gemini are probably the closest match to these pretenders given a Gemini’s cleverness and resourcefulness. It takes considerable effort to live in another’s shoes, but the benefits would be worth it to any shapeshifting Gemini seeking a better life.
7 Cancer: The Caretaker
The Caretaker is a Relict that was built by the Von Everecs to carry out various tasks on their estate. This unique creature is similar in ways to a Golem in that it’ll tirelessly perform whatever charges it’s given, but the major difference is that it possesses a clever ruthlessness to take care of intruders and while it looks human, it has no face.
Cancer types would be well suited to act as Caretakers. Patriotism and loyalty are needed to serve their creators and hatred of strangers and outsiders is key to this role.
6 Leo: Crones
Crones or the Ladies of the Wood are witches that have been around since the early days of humanity. They can be both a blessing and a curse. They’ve been known to provide aid and protection to those who live near them, but often in exchange for children to consume and severed ears.
The attributes of Leos make them ideal Crones. They can be protective and loyal to those who they consider allies, but their vanity and greed demand that tribute be given afterward.
5 Virgo: Leshen
Leshens are ancient and powerful monsters that live in forests. They act as warden and protectors of the forest and the animals that live within. It’s as likely to heal a wounded deer as it is to eviscerate the poacher who wounded it.
Virgo would make great Leshens given their observant ways and dedication to things they consider important. They’re also known animal lovers which is the personal directive of these ancient spirits.
4 Libra: Wraith
Wraiths are the spirits of beings that have unfinished business in this life. It could be they wish to defend their homes from intruders, but most commonly wraiths are created from fierce grudges.
Given Libras are known to harbor grudges this would make them idea Wraiths. Floating through cemeteries and crypts they are bound to this world seeking justice against perceived slights, something Libras can relate to on their worst days.
3 Scorpio: Hym
Hyms are malevolent spirits that delight in tormenting their victims through various means. They live in the shadows and can drive a person to madness or suicide through subtle whispers, moving shadows, and an aura of draining energy.
Scorpios are passionate beings, but in their dark moments, they can be vengeful and malicious which would serve them well as Hyms.
2 Sagittarius: Wight
Wights are undead beings who haunt burial sites and graves. Interestingly they don’t seek conflict and will peacefully live their immortal lives mixing various concoctions for unknown use and purpose. But when someone treads on their territory they are vicious and brutal defenders.
Sagittarius individuals share many similarities with Wights, they enjoy that alone time to pursue their interests and prefer the freedom to do what they want when they want it. They’re also known to become considerably cranky when someone imposes on that.
1 Capricorn: Foglet
Foglets are crafty creatures that can conjure up a fog and then produce lights to lure travelers to their doom. A Foglet you can see isn’t a terribly dangerous predator, but with the power to become invisible and work in groups, they are a fierce threat on the roads.
It takes ambition to lure a human into bogs, wooded forest, and other places to spring an ambush and Capricorns are well suited for successfully carrying out these tactics as Foglets.
