The Final Fantasy VII remake is the first of many planned remakes that draws players back into the cyberpunk world of this Final Fantasy tale. One of the major elements of Final Fantasy VII that made the game so positively received was its selection of diverse and well-designed characters.
This incredible cast each has their own individual characteristics, backstory, and motivations. As such, each one suits their own Zodiac sign in a different way according to the traits that are typically assigned to each astrological sign. 12 Aries (March 21 - April 19): Barret Wallace
Passionate and fearless in his pursuits, Barret Wallace is a natural leader. He is known for his introspective quotes without fully recognizing the depth of what he has said. A true Aries, Barret Wallace knows exactly when to take charge of things and is fearless in the face of danger.
If fans are an Aries like Barret Wallace, they are probably the ones in a friend group that keep everyone else grounded. They may offer insight and reflection to friends while continuing on their way to achieving their own goals - or else.
11 Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Red XIII
Red XIII is a red lion/wolf beast species in Final Fantasy VII that might seem feral at first glance. But he is really an observant and courageous individual that - much like the Taurus - looks at problems from a neutral perspective before deciding to make a decision.
Red XIII can be demeaning at times and his struggle lies in his inability to differentiate from his animal nature and intelligent conscience. Other Taurus signs might relate to his ability to go from feral and ferocious one moment to composed, polite, and considerate after some thought.
10 Gemini (May 21 - June 20): Zack Fair
Zack Fair, despite his positive and happy-go-lucky appeal, is actually one of the stronger characters in Final Fantasy. A classic Gemini, Zack is positive and always raring to go. He is often compared to a puppy thanks to his short attention span and willingness to do just about anything.
Like Zack Fair, other Geminis are probably very sociable and always ready for an adventure. Moreover, Zack’s only adversary is himself. Geminis tend not to be competitive with others, but always strive to be the best version of themselves.
9 Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Sephiroth
Sephiroth is the archnemesis of the main protagonist Cloud Strife. Cancers like Sephiroth don’t like to be pushed around. After learning of his own origins, Sephiroth tumbles into insanity. Not unlike his Zodiac Sign, Cancers can be moody and Sephiroth’s post-insanity phase hits this nail on the head.
But, those of this sign like the Final Fantasy VII antagonist also have plenty of good traits. Cancers like Sephiroth are also intuitive, sensitive, and observant - albeit prone to a little bit of brooding.
8 Leo (July 23 - August 22): Yuffie Kisaragi
Leos are often considered brash and cocky yet admirably and unashamedly ambitious of their goals. Yuffie Kisaragi embodies this trait to the fullest. However, this sometimes proves to be her downfall when she butts heads with her father.
Leos like Yuffie probably can’t tolerate being pushed around (like Cancers). Much like the aggressive and forward Yuffie, Leos will stand their ground when it comes to what they believe in. They’ll always work hard towards their wants in life!
7 Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Cid Highwind
A Cid character appears in every Final Fantasy game and Final Fantasy VII’s Cid is Cid Highwind. He is well known for having a bit of a potty mouth and can seem a little “uncaring” at times. A Virgo, Cid is logical about problems and can analyze a situation by getting right to its source.
Fellow Virgos might share Cid’s analytical means of going about issues and are very capable of working their way out of tough matters. Virgos like Cid might also find themselves frustrated by others’ incompetence at times or not like to focus on “trivial” details. This can make them seem detached. However, Cid - and other Virgos - do care…but they care most about the bigger picture.
6 Libra (September 23 - October 22): Cait Sith
Cait Sith was not a playable character in the Final Fantasy VII remake nor is the body of Cait Sith a real character. But the behavior of the puppet as controlled by Reeves Tuesti in the original game shows similarities towards the Libra. Much like a Libra, Cait Sith is fun-loving and sociable even if their loudness can irritate others every now and again.
Libras tend to like to avoid confrontation. This doesn’t always mean they are cowardly - (although in Cait Sith’s case, it does!) as they choose to use more diplomatic means of solving disputes than resorting immediately to violence.
5 Scorpio (October 23 - November 21): Vincent Valentine
Vincent Valentine is considered to be the brooding-type. Just like a Scorpio, Vincent hides his feelings under his dark guise and reluctance to say - well, anything. Similarly, other Scorpios like Vincent may appear intimidating because they seem so locked up. However, when they do speak, they always have something worth saying.
Scorpios like Vincent have powerful minds and can do anything they believe is worth doing. They might give off the false idea that they don’t care about anything - which isn’t true! Scorpios may just be harder to get to know.
4 Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): Tifa Lockhart
Tifa Lockhart is one of the most beloved Final Fantasy female characters and ranks high among her fellow heroines. As a Sagittarius, Tifa is assumed to be quite shy and reserved. That is the great falsehood among Sagittarius-folk - Tifa, like many other Sagittarius, is fiery and relentless.
Sagittarius signs are known for putting the feelings of others above their own and Tifa is no different. Other archers like her might find it difficult to open up, but will never hesitate to help anyone else who might be struggling with something sensitive!
3 Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Cloud Strife
Cloud Strife is the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII and is known for having an incredibly cocky personality - which can be one of the negative traits of the Capricorn sign. On the other hand, Cloud demonstrates incredible leadership skills. He is ambitious like the Capricorn and trustworthy to the bone.
He was known for having a complex relationship with Tifa - which, for a Capricorn, makes sense because Capricorns and Sagittarius signs are known to share an emotional language. Capricorns like Cloud look for dedication in a partnership above all else.
2 Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Aerith Gainsborough
Aerith Gainsborough is known for being somewhat free-spirited. She is constantly striving for her own freedom and independence just as Aquarius should. Aquarius signs like Aerith are typically nonconformist, joyful, and are the “sparks” in friend groups that get everything going.
Aquarius signs are also known for wanting to see the good in everyone. Aerith Gainsborough is no different - although she can recognize a villain when she sees one. With her positive outlook on life, there is no one who shines brighter than Aquarius like Aerith!
1 Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Marlene Wallace
Marlene Wallace is the adopted daughter of Barret and can seem quite mature for her young age. This is likely due to all she has experienced in her young life. As a Pisces, Marlene is shy and reserved but has a caring nature and incredible intelligence. She has wisdom well beyond her years.
Pisces like Marlene can be thoughtful and creative and look at the world from the perspective of an artist. They might not be the most outgoing of people, but they are trustworthy and loyal friends who work well with others.
