Over the years, the Call of Duty series has served as home for some of the most memorable characters. Whether they’re good or bad, demonic or angelic, the writers have spent a vast amount of time to pour out the best character depth that the gaming industry has ever witnessed.

Love them or loathe them, from the mastermind of World War 3 Vladimir Makarov to John “Soap” MacTavish, these are twelve Call of Duty characters according to your own zodiac sign. Again, please be aware that there will be some spoilers up ahead, so consider yourself warned!

12 Aries (March 21 - April 19): Vladimir Makarov

Aries is a passionate, motivated, and confident leader who loves to be number-one. Wherever an Aries goes, people always follow them, and they never fail to steal the show. Aries also relentlessly strive to achieve their goals, and that’s something that totally resonates with the personality of our number-one villain, Vladimir Makarov.

Before becoming the man we know today as the Inner Circle global terrorist organization leader, young Makarov spent his youth at the Frunze Military Academy. He would never be trusted as Imran Zakhaev’s successor if it weren’t for this trait, even though we all know he’d commit the worst terrorist act in the history of the series.

11 Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Viktor Reznov

Viktor Reznov is the kind of underdog who never afraid to go the extra mile. In his own words, “the men and I had fought through the most bitter of winters on the Eastern Front, but we were no strangers to the cold. Even now, the blood in my veins chills when I think back to the events of that day… Far, far from home…” Even though he can be headstrong sometimes, he always cares deeply for his friends.

10 Gemini (May 21 - June 20): David Mason

Who could forget David Mason, the son of Captain Alex Mason? If there’s anything, he should be representing Geminis at best. Growing up without his father, young David turned into an impulsive kind, but he still had a few lines of intelligence.

For years, David chased the man responsible for his father’s death, and an international terrorist, Raul Menendez, by following his father’s footsteps and ambushing Menendez’s rallies.

9 Cancer (June 21 - July 22): John ‘Soap’ MacTavish

From the Modern Warfare timeline, John “Soap” MacTavish is your guy if you’re a Cancer. The reason? Despite being dubbed as the FNG—or F*cking New Guy—at the beginning of his SAS career, Soap MacTavish has turned into a valuable member of his regiment.

If it wasn’t for his ability to pick up energy in every room he’s in, he would never end up leading the Task Force 141’s operations and taking Lieutenant Ghost and Sergeant Roach under his wing. Later, his poignant death served as a turning point that motivated Captain Price to keep hunting for Makarov.

8 Leo (July 23 - August 22): Nikita Dragovich

For anyone born from July 23 to August 22, Nikita Dragovich is the man. Putting his war crimes aside, Dragovich is an over-the-top confident person who sometimes turns out a little bit arrogant. He’s highly positive about his brainwashing programs, which turned out to be a useful weapon for him to use on his anti-American war. He successfully brainwashed numerous Americans and tricked them into becoming his sleeper agents, and one of them was Alex Mason.

7 Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Joseph ‘Alexei Borodin’ Allen

Virgos are known as logical, practical, and systematic in their approach to life, something that describes Joseph “Alexei Borodin” Allen best. During the events of Modern Warfare 2, he served as a double agent for General Shepherd and Makarov.

To gain the Russian’s trust, he went by the moniker of Alexei Borodin and participated in the Zakhaev International Airport massacre in the infamous “No Russian” mission. If it wasn’t for his logical thinking and systematic intelligence, he would never make a name for himself at the CIA.

6 Libra (September 23 - October 22): Alex Mason

Being a good shot behind a sniper rifle requires an obsession with symmetry and precision, thus making Alex Mason’s character the best candidate to interpret Libra.

The CIA’s Operative Captain spent his youth in the Alaskan cold snow and wilderness, hunting the elk and grizzlies with his father, who was a World War 2 veteran. Hence, he’s an excellent sniper and adapts easily to cold weather.

5 Scorpio (October 23 - November 21): Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley

Practical yet stubborn, determined yet underrated, who could represent Scorpio better than Simon “Ghost” Riley? Like Ghost, Scorpios know what they want in life and are more than ready to play a long game to obtain it.

On the other hand, Ghost is also known for his straight-up personality. He turned the military as his only escape way from troublesome childhood. Before his death in the cold betrayal hands of General Shepherd, Ghost was always a valuable member of the Task Force 141, proven by the time he went after Manuel Roba, the kingpin of the Zaragoza Drug Cartel.

4 Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): Friedrich Steiner

Being associated with a Nazi scientist is never a good thing, but, that aside, Friedrich Steiner is a true Sagittarius at heart. Always on a quest for knowledge, Steiner chase after adventures, which, unfortunately, led him to create Nova 6, a toxin capable of wrecking human nerves and killing them in only a matter of seconds. Back in the days, he’s earned a collection of prestigious educational degrees.

3 Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Raul Menendez

Vladimir Makarov might be the number-one villain on the game, but this guy is a monstrous leader, or in people’s words, “the Messiah of the 99%.” Capricorns’ fortitude always overcomes whatever and whoever stands between them and their goals, and that is precisely who Raul Menendez is.

Under his iron-yet-charismatic hands, Cordis Die turned into an international threat with supporters all around the world. Albeit, sometimes, he came across rude and unemotional, Menendez had all it takes to be a capable leader.

2 Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Lieutenant Gaz

Aquarians are big thinkers, and, surely, Liutennant Gaz fits that bill, proven by the time he saved Nikolai on Modern Warfare. He also supported Captain Price’s plan of ambushing Imran Zakhaev’s son, Viktor, by disguising himself as an Ultranationalist.

With his team, he proceeded to chase after Zakhaev, killing Gaz in the process. Soap picked up an M1911 and killed Zakhaev in an act of revenge for Gaz’s death.

1 Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Lieutenant General Shepherd

Lastly, apologize for ruining the day, but Lieutenant General Shepherd should be for the folks who were born from February 19 to March 20. Most of the time, Pisces can easily be swallowed by emotions, which is precisely why Lieutenant Sheperd betrayed on his own Task Force 141. Enraged from his men’s loss and obsessed with his ambition to be a war hero, Shepherd took all the credits from Roach and Ghost by killing them.
