How to turn on and use Call Screen

Automatic call screening

  • Open Phone app. Go to More > Settings > Spam and Call Screen. Make sure See caller and spam ID is switched on. Tap Call Screen. Under “Unknown call settings,” tap the callers you’d like to screen. To screen automatically, choose the following: Automatically screen. Decline robocalls. To save audio from screened calls, turn on Save Call Screen audio.

Manual call screening

To save audio from screened calls, turn on Save Call Screen audio.

How to retrieve transcripts and audio from screened calls

  • Turn on Save Call Screen audio (see above). Open the Phone app. Tap Recents. Tap the screened call. Tap Transcript or Transcript and audio. If you don’t see those options, tap History > See transcript. Optional: To delete the transcript and recording: Touch and hold the screened call. Then, tap Delete.
