Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season Four Reloaded update is now live, and it adds a brand new sniper rifle, the Rytec AMR, to the game. One way that fans can go about unlocking this new weapon is to “get three Quickscope Kills using Sniper or Marksman Rifles in 15 different matches,” but not every fan will be clear on what counts as a Quickscope in Modern Warfare. Shining some light on this matter is the exact purpose of this guide, and players will find the details that they need below.

As the name suggests, kills are only counted as Quickscopes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare if a player obtains them after aiming down their weapon’s sights for a very short period. More specifically, fans must get a kill within a second or two of going ADS for it to be considered a Quickscope in CoD: MW, and they must also release their aim promptly after firing their shots.

This final requirement cannot be emphasized enough, and it is where some players are sure to get tripped up when attempting to score Quickscope Kills in Call of Duty. Indeed, fans will not be able to complete the challenge and unlock Modern Warfare’s Rytec AMR sniper rifle if they are holding their aim after firing, and the following video provides a good visual reference for exactly what Quickscopes should look like.

This video also highlights a class setup that players going for Quickscope Kills may want to consider, and it revolves around Modern Warfare’s Kar98k marksman rifle. To put things simply, this setup looks to give fans faster ADS, and any weapon configuration that has a similar objective in mind should work just as well.

Of course, having a good setup is certainly not all that is required to get Quickscopes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and players that have not mastered this skill previously may find the Rytec AMR challenge quite difficult. However, with some practice and patience, fans should certainly be able to unlock this new sniper rifle before the end of CoD: MW Season Four.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
