No, to be more technical this game is Yakuza 7, and the first game where Kazuma Kiryu isn’t the main character. Instead, Kasuga Ichiban is the protagonist, and he’s a very different sort of dork than Kiryu was. That said, while this game is relatively disconnected narratively to the rest of the series, there are still a whole mountain of callbacks hidden throughout the game....
