World of Tanks partners with the WWE for the strangest crossover event we’ve ever seen. There’s not a lot of wrestling happening these days thanks to COVID-19. Tapings only recently restarted in April, and the big shows that would normally sell out stadiums are currently only happening in barely populated studios. WWE is still hoping to host the SummerSlam in Boston later in August, but with COVID-19 cases surging across the US, I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one....

Nearly two months after release, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players have explored and beaten all the launch content currently available. Even initially difficult endgame questing and raiding has become much less daunting thanks to the weekly gear upgrades from Mythic+ or Castle Nathria. In response, Blizzard finally released Twisting Corridors which brings the hardest challenge yet for heroes. Twisting Corridors is the latest addition to Torghast and consists of eighteen floors per layer randomly stitched together from the other six wings....

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X (and Series S) has finally hit shelves, providing customers with the option to upgrade to the most powerful home system on the market. The Xbox Series X’s backward compatibility means it launched with a library of hundreds of games, but exciting new exclusives made specifically for the hardware are a ways off. One such example is The Medium, Bloober Team’s latest psychological horror game that is set to debut at the beginning of 2021....

Xbox’s Major Nelson has taken to Twitter to announce the free Games with Gold for June 2019. Like past months, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have four free games to download, with two Xbox One titles and two Xbox 360 titles available. The Xbox free Games with Gold for June 2019 will start off with NHL 19 on June 1. The latest entry in EA’s long-running sports franchise, NHL 19 earned decent reviews when it released back in September of 2018....

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have been looking forward to this week for some time, as Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to Xbox One soon. Microsoft surprised Game Pass subscribers Wednesday morning with several more announcements, though. Kazuma Kiryu is one of my favourite video game characters. Although he’s known around Kamurocho as the fourth chairman of the Tojo Clan and a bona fide beast who talks with his fists instead of stupid, pretentious words, he’s a real softie. Put simply, most of the good guys in Yakuza are softies - Majima, Daigo, Kashiwagi, Kazama… they’re all just big teddy bears with deceptively intense eyes. I think that’s what makes characterization in Yakuza so distinct from so many other stories....
