Gamers have been scratching their heads over an ambiguous codename that appeared on Microsoft’s Game Development Kit and Windows OS Libraries. The Devkit codename sparked rumors within the community that a third all-digital Xbox may be entering into the market. The strange codename was spotted by software developer and reverse engineer @bllyhlbrt on Twitter last week that appeared within the Xbox One OS. The name joined the original Xbox Series X codename ‘Anaconda’ as well as ‘Lockhart’ which is speculated to be joining Microsoft’s catalogue as the company’s ‘budget’ version of the Series X....

After teasing that it has “big” plans for E3 2019, Microsoft has officially announced the date and time for its annual Xbox E3 press conference. It looks as if Xbox will be the only platform holder to hold a major event at E3 this year, as Sony announced that it would not be attending, and Nintendo will be opting for its “Direct” live stream. In a post on Twitter earlier today, Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox E3 Briefing would be taking place on Sunday, June 9 at 1PM PT, 4PM ET, and 9PM BST....

Microsoft has been working hard to make its Xbox Game Pass service a must-have subscription for gamers. Xbox Game Pass gives subscribers instant access to over 100 games across consoles, PC, and mobile devices, and new titles are added regularly. But like most other subscription service, occasionally titles leave Xbox Game Pass, and now Microsoft has confirmed five games that will be leaving Game Pass in March. On March 15, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be losing access to Alvastia Chronicles, Astrologaster, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Kona, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt....

The Xbox Series S Lockhart console could be much less powerful than the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, suggests a report. The same report also suggested that Microsoft is getting very close to officially announcing the Xbox Lockhart. A report by Windows Central claims that the Xbox Series S Lockhart will only have four teraflops to work with. The console, which is expected to be a more affordable, entry point into next-generation gaming, is also likely to have fewer features than the Xbox Series X....

The Xbox Series S has been “leaked” yet again as some Xbox Game Pass trial sheets are seemingly referencing the still unconfirmed console. If you zoom into the photo above, you’ll notice that it includes the line: “100 high-quality games on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10.” As Twitter user Brendan notes, they received this card when they purchased a new Xbox controller directly from Microsoft. While there’s always the chance that this photo was manipulated in some way, it does seem to be authentic....

Firaxis Games releases a patch which finally brings controller support to the the PC version of XCOM 2, along with a few bug fixes and a camera update. Almost nine months after XCOM 2 first arrived on PC, commanders around the world can now order their squad of soldiers around without the aid of a keyboard and mouse. The first title had previously offered controller support, so XCOM 2 fans had more or less been expecting more of the same in an eventual update....

Black & Gold is the New Red & Blue The Funko Pop! line has revealed the “Black & Gold” Spider-Man suit. The outfit—which is also getting a Hasbro Marvel Legends release, as seen in the title image—is an exciting reveal on numerous levels, since the outfit is noticeably reminiscent of the Spider-Armor MK II from the pages of Marvel Comics, which debuted in 2011’s Amazing Spider-Man #656.
