Wizards of the Coast is doing their part to support students during the coronavirus pandemic by providing educators and librarians with free Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering content to engage with their students. In order to be eligible applicants must be over the age of 18 and work professionally, or be an official volunteer, with children in the United States or Canada. This includes school employees, librarians, leaders in children’s recreation, and scout leaders....

Spider-Man: Miles Morales has quickly become a fan favorite in the Spider-Man franchise—and not just for the hilarious glitches. Being the perhaps “more stylish” Spider-Man, it’s fitting for the game’s soundtrack to get a stylish vinyl release. Miles Morales may be a (relatively) short, 18-hour story, but it has been enough that players are hoping that it will get a full sequel as we get deeper into “next-gen” territory. The Xbox Design Lab will soon make a return. After being put on hiatus last year, Xbox has revealed that the Design Lab will soon come back; allowing players to create their own unique controllers once again. In September of 2020, the Xbox Design Lab shut down temporarily. There’s still over a week to go before the new year is upon us, but that hasn’t stopped Microsoft from announcing the free Games with Gold for January 2021. As usual, the free Games with Gold for January includes four titles for fans to download, with next month’s batch featuring two Xbox One games, one Xbox 360, and even one game for the original Xbox. All of the games are playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles thanks to the backward compatibility program....

In celebration of the announcement of two NieR games by Square Enix, Xbox Game Pass is set to add NieR: Automata to its library of “free” games. The title is slated to join the selection April 2nd. This weekend, Square Enix revealed that NieR: Replicant is getting the remaster treatment and will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. On top of that, the studio revealed that a new mobile game called NieR: Reincarnation is in the works for iOS and Android....

CD Projekt RED’s highly anticipated open-world title Cyberpunk 2077 finally released after a few delays. Cyberpunk 2077 has made quite an impact already, having over one million concurrent players on Steam, breaking the record for concurrent players in a single-player game. Now that players have jumped into the game and are exploring Night City, Xbox has launched a giveaway featuring Cyberpunk 2077 inspired gear. Xbox’s giveaway starts today, featuring a Cyberpunk 2077 inspired controller and a bionic arm inspired by the many cybernetic enhancements featured in the game....

Xbox Live has been around for nearly two decades now, originally released in November 2002 for the Xbox system. Later in 2005, Microsoft reintroduced this service with some updates and tweaks with the launch of Xbox 360. Right now, Xbox Live has turned into a live online service for players on Xbox and as well as Windows PC systems. But it looks like Microsoft may be dropping the “Live” part of Xbox Live in the future....
