With arguably the biggest title of the year coming in a mere few weeks in the form of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there of course must be cross-merchandising to take advantage of this opportunity. It therefore comes as no surprise that Microsoft has confirmed the release of the rumored Modern Warfare 2-themed Xbox 360 console. It comes with two wireless controls, a larger 250gb hard drive, the game itself, an appropriately designed casing for the system and a hefty price tag....

Matchmaking, Party chat, social, and gaming are currently impacted. However, purchase and content usage; TV, music, and video; web usages; and both Xbox 360 and Xbox One games are all still green lit. Microsoft is aware of the issue and currently investigating....

Indie publisher Yogscast Games has announced the first Tiny Teams Indie Festival, which brings indie micro-studios comprising three or fewer developers into the spotlight. Yogscast Games’ Head of Publishing and festival host Ben Edgar lays out the rationale behind their endeavor: The festival will feature developer interviews, gameplay streams, and trailers of dozens of games from teams with maximum three devs. “At Yogscast Games we’re all about indie games that are as fun to watch as they are to play,” says Edgar, so you’ll be able to catch all these events broadcast live on both Steam and Twitch between 9-15th August....
