After a banner showing at E3 2011, it has been all down hill for Prey 2. What could have been, ostensibly, Blade Runner the video game instead turned into one of the more disappointing developments in recent memory. Clearly, something wasn’t quite right at developer Human Head Studios — their relationship with publisher ZeniMax Studios strained — and so talk of cancellation arose. Then, came reports that Human Head hadn’t worked on Prey 2 in over 6 months, forced into limbo after general agreements could not be reached....

Just last month, Gearbox Software released Borderlands 3’s third DLC called Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption. Similar to the previous story expansions that came before it, Bounty of Blood introduced new gameplay objects, a new story, new missions, and a level cap increase. However, as previously mentioned in Borderlands 3’s Season Pass, the game is still set to receive another DLC expansion by the end of the year....

When considering a live-action adaptation of Legend of Zelda into a TV series, it’s impossible to deny the inevitable appearance of Ganon, the ‘King of Evil’ and bearer of the third piece of the Triforce with Link and Zelda. While a show based on the games could easily incorporate different antagonists, much like the games occasionally do, it simply wouldn’t sit right for Nintendo’s most ominous villain to never show up....

There are hundreds of articles about “what to watch if you like Cyberpunk 2077.” That’s great, but I genuinely believe they should create an actual Cyberpunk 2077 movie. There is so much potential, based on what the game has already provided, and I cannot imagine a world in which it would not make money. Night City Would Look Amazing Visuals aren’t everything, but I would kill to go see Night City in a movie at the Ultra Screen, with surround sound....

New World was supposed to launch in May 2020, but was subsequently delayed to August 25, spring 2021, August 31, and is now set to be released on September 28. Twitter user finds code for new Xbox-style game mode in leaked Windows 10 update, which should boost PC performance by reallocating resources to games. Hints have surfaced that Windows 10 may soon introduce a feature that will improve the operating system’s performance when playing games. The only hard proof of this so far has been the discovery of a special dll file called “gamemode” in the latest build of Windows 10 (version 14997), which supposedly would prioritize game performance....

Bethesda has treated the Nintendo Switch very well so far, with high profile ports of Skyrim and DOOM bringing in plenty of mature action to Nintendo’s portable console. The company revealed via Twitter today that this trend is continuing in good health, as Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is officially being ported over to the Nintendo Switch in partnership with Panic Button. The studio has already aided developers by porting over both DOOM and Rocket League, making Panic Button a suitable studio for porting Wolfenstein 2....

World of Warcraft players will likely spend the coming days and weeks racing towards the new level cap of 120. Once there, players then gear up and start preparing for Mythic Dungeons and Raids. Some fans say this is where the real game begins. The Battle for Azeroth pre-patch brought some serious changes to World of Warcraft’s classes that definitely threw the usual DPS rankings on their head. The changes have created a whole new meta game and players interested in staying at the top of the DPS charts might need to consider respec’ing or rerolling a new class entirely....

Fans of both Danganronpa and Zero Escape are likely excited that World’s End Club, the long-awaited collaboration between the creators of both series, is now available on Apple Arcade. Pitting a bunch of school kids into the “ultimate child murder game,” there should be a ton of familiar concepts and story elements to players that have dug through the mysteries of Monokuma and time travel. Sadly, it seems the complete story isn’t yet quite done....

The Xbox 360 is nearly six years old and the tech inside of it, is even older. For a console some thought would only live five years initially, the unit is still going strong and thanks to upgraded version of the consoles and the advent of digital content and motion controls, Microsoft continues to plan for a 10-year lifecycle. That does not mean however, that another console can’t be launched during that lifecycle, let alone announced....

Subscribers to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service have a jam-packed few weeks ahead of them. In addition to multiple games available today, Microsoft is closing off August with a bunch of indie hits and starting off September with some heavy hitters. It’s a great time to be signed up. Available today are both Microsoft Flight Simulator and Spiritfarer. The later is on PC and Xbox One while Flight Sim is only on PC....

Xbox is working on a number of projects right now, including new IP that will blow fans’ minds according to one of its executives. Xbox is pulling out all the stops to try and be more of a worthwhile contender to PlayStation this generation. The endless expansion and improvement of Game Pass is bridging that gap in a major, as has Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda. Plus, the console creator will hopefully be making up for a lack of exclusives during the Series X|S’s first six months in the coming years....

Microsoft is ready to reveal Xbox Live Gold’s free Games With Gold for August 2019. Four new free games will be available to subscribers of Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in August, with two games unlocking on August 1 and the next two following on August 16. As ever, two of the games will be Xbox One games and two will be Xbox 360 titles supported on Xbox One with backward compatibility....

At Gamescom 2017 last month, Microsoft announced the pre-orders for the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition had gone live and that fans could register their interest for the limited edition console. But the announcement left many confused as the standard, non-limited version of the console without the Project Scorpio branding, was still unable to pre-order. The messaging was frustrating for fans who didn’t want the bundled, Project Scorpio goodies. Thankfully then, new rumors suggest that pre-orders for the standard edition of the Xbox One X console are set to begin later this week....

And while we love us some cat videos and twerking how-to clips, we’re sticking with the gaming-related ones. The list itself is comprised of the 10 highest trending gaming videos on the site. That means not just trailers or gameplay footage, but Let’s Play videos as well....
