With a release scheduled for later this year, Bethesda has been slowly increasing the marketing campaign releasing everything from new details about the game to a terrifying new type of TV gameshow. The latest trailer explores a tense scene involving a strawberry milkshake....

There’s no denying that Fortnite has been on top of the world in the video game community this year. It’s consistently one of the most streamed, played, and viewed games on Twitch and YouTube, but the launch of World of Warcraft’s latest expansion is ready to give it a short run for its money. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth launched yesterday and the game has quickly skyrocketed to the top of the Popular Games section on Twitch....

World War Z is out now, and while it has received somewhat mixed reviews, the game still seems to have developed a following by those hungry for more Left 4 Dead-style experiences. Saber Interactive hasn’t been shy about World War Z’s Left 4 Dead inspirations, with the game being a co-op zombie shooter with very similar gameplay mechanics and features. Like Left 4 Dead, World War Z features four survivors in each mission as they work together to fight off zombies and try to survive the apocalypse, with those roles being filled by bots or humans....

It turns out that WWE superstar Ember Moon’s wrestling persona is inspired by a character from Dungeons & Dragons. Who would have thought! In a recent interview, Ember Moon revealed which character her in-ring persona is partly based on - Drizzt Do’Urden, the Drow ranger known from the still-running series of fantasy novels by R.A. Salvatore. Moon is certainly not alone in her love for Drizzt; he’s in fact one of D&D’s most popular characters....

In anticipation for this Thursday’s upcoming Inside Xbox, a digital presentation that will see the reveal of multiple third-party next generation titles, Microsoft has announced Xbox 20/20. Xbox 20/20 is planned to be a series of monthly events dedicated to revealing new information regarding Xbox Series X, Xbox Games Studios, Xbox Games Pass and xCloud. Microsoft’s head of gaming marketing Jarett West released a post on the official Xbox blog, Xbox Wire, stating detailing what the rest of 2020 will look like for Xbox fans, including details on when we will be able to see and hear more news on Xbox Series X and its upcoming launch lineup....

Microsoft turned some heads recently when it confirmed that it would no longer be selling 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscriptions. This led to some speculation that Microsoft may be combining its Xbox Live Gold subscriptions with Game Pass, with the online multiplayer access presumably transferring to Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions. However, a notable Xbox insider has suggested that Microsoft may be doing away with its online multiplayer paywall entirely. With the next generation of consoles a little over a month away, many gamers are soon about to get their hands on some pretty powerful hardware. Not the most powerful, mind you, but powerful enough to rival some of mid-tier PCs. The long-rumored existence of another Xbox console separate from the Series X—which we’ve known as “Project Lockhart”—has apparently been confirmed, thanks to leaked controller packaging for the next-gen console. Twitter user @TomWarren shared images of the controller packaging which seem to show that it was meant for use on two different consoles. Reporters at The Verge obtained photos of the controller and was able to confirm that it is real after a Twitter user claimed that they were able to purchase it on a resale site online....

The Xbox July event has already been confirmed to focus exclusively on games, but there’s one other key element about the event: it will be an hour long. The event will air on July 23 from 9-10 AM PT. The aptly-named Xbox Games Showcase will show some games that haven’t been revealed yet, as well as “updated looks” from some games Xbox has already unveiled. This will include a first look at Halo Infinite campaign gameplay....

Sony’s showing at E3 2017 was undeniably VR-heavy. The company brought to life titles like the grim sci-fi platformer Star Child from developer Playful, the unsettling horror game The Inpatient from the creators of Until Dawn, and even the hyper-successful Skyrim for PSVR. The virtual reality fun didn’t stop there, however, as Sony unleashed an announcement trailer for Moss, a Zelda-inspired title also hitting the PSVR line-up.
