One of the Zelda areas that appears in games most often is Death Mountain. This large, often-volcanic mountain is present in almost a dozen games, dating all the way back to the original Legend of Zelda. It’s typically home to the same things, whether that be a fire-themed dungeon, the Gorons, or boiling lava pools. But, not all versions of Death Mountain are created equal. Sometimes, Death Mountain is really cool, while other times, it’s somewhat standard and frankly, a little boring....

What Does CryptoLocker Mean? CryptoLocker is a Trojan ransomware that allegedly encrypts files on an affected system and demands ransom for recovering the data back. It first appeared on the Internet in 2013 and was targeted at Windows-based computers. Techopedia Explains CryptoLocker CryptoLocker spreads by way of compromised email attachments or through a botnet. Once downloaded and activated, it looks for certain file types to encrypt using RSA public key cryptography and then sends the private key to some remote servers....

Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt Red hosted a group strategy update today where they revealed plans to change the way they do things going forward. Rather than push all their resources towards a single game, CD Projekt will start making multiple games at a time and only start marketing them when they get closer to release. It also revealed a release window for The Witcher 3’s next-gen update. Witcher 3 will get an upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X starting in the second half of 2021....

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins reveals that she has “hit the pause button” on development of Wonder Woman 3. While the release of Wonder Woman 1984 has been delayed because of COVID-19, Jenkins comments confirm that the pandemic is also affecting future plans for the series. Speaking to Total Film magazine (June 2020, issue #299), Jenkins said that she has “really hit the pause button because the truth is, where that plotline was coming from was our state of being six months ago....

With no official 2K wrestling game launching this year, avid WWE fans will be getting their annual video game fix through WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Mad Dog Games’ fresh take on the license. Unlike the traditional yearly entries in the franchise, this will follow a more arcadey take on the seminal wrestling promotion, with players pulling off earth-shattering finishers, fighting in outlandishly wacky arenas, and lacing up the boots of caricatured wrestling icons....

Tomorrow, Xbox Game Pass is growing even larger - not only is Outriders underway for the same date as its release, alongside 20 additional Bethesda titles, but the famed indie game Undertale is coming to the service. It’s “coming soon” (as in tomorrow) to Xbox for $14.99 but for Game Pass owners, you can pick it up for free on the service to give it a whirl. It launched way back in September 2015 so it’s been nearly six years since it first dropped....

The Xbox brand has had an impressive year in 2020. Not only did Xbox launch two new consoles in the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, but the growth of its Xbox Game Pass subscription has been very impressive. One of the hottest shows of 2019 was The Mandalorian on Disney+, and on October 30, it will return for its highly-anticipated second season. To celebrate, Microsoft has revealed a Mandalorian Xbox controller based on the TV show, and now some new images have been revealed, giving fans a closer look at the hardware. And as it turns out, the controller has even more Mandalorian references than previously believed. Microsoft’s initial reveal of the Mandalorian Xbox controller only included images of the front of the device, showing an aesthetic that seems to match Mando’s armor and having symbols that reference The Mandalorian TV show....

While rave reviews and record-breaking sales have gamers abuzz with the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, it can be easy to forget that the 8th generation of gaming is about to fully kick off. To prepare for both console launches in November, Microsoft and Sony have been showing off their wares at the Tokyo Game Show this week. Microsoft does not usually have a strong presence at the expo, but there have been notable gameplay updates for two of their Xbox One launch titles, Crimson Dragon and Dead Rising 3....

The video game industry was rocked this week by the announcement that Microsoft acquired Zenimax Media. However, as big as this may be on paper, the full ramifications of the acquisition remain to be confirmed, and questions regarding platform exclusivity for future games, as well as how Game Pass fits into the equation, remain to be answered. Yet the Xbox team may be ready to share its first decision, as a recent message on Twitter heavily hints at Doom coming to Game Pass....

Summer is here, and for gamers that means two things. For one, it means that the summer gaming drought is in full swing, with very few major new games set to release between now and fall. Secondly, it means that major gaming companies are putting on sales for their digital marketplaces, so gamers can perhaps pick up an older game on the cheap to fill the void....

Bandai Namco has released a trailer showing Yoruichi from Bleach in action, as she’s due to join Jump Force as a DLC character in 2021. The final two DLC characters in Jump Force were accidentally leaked by Bandai Namco back in November. The leak revealed that the next two characters are Yoruichi from Bleach and Giorno Giovanna from part five of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Bandai Namco confirmed that the leaks were legit, though it stressed that the characters might differ in how they play, as the leaked videos showed versions of the fighters that were still in development....

This Young Justice: Outsiders review contains spoilers. Young Justice Outsiders Episode 10 It’s amazing how much “Exceptional Human Beings” does in 22 minutes without doing a single thing wrong. Or even “not good enough to be free of complaint.” I went back and watched parts of the episode a second time to find something to critique and I got nothing. That is astonishing. I live to complain. I have an argument with family that spans a literal generation about the noise that TIE fighters make that is rooted in the now-discarded Star Wars EU, but I can’t find anything wrong with really either of the last two episodes of Young Justice: Outsiders....
