February has been an interesting month for Xbox Live Gold after Microsoft introduced several changes to the service. First, it attempted to increase the price of an Xbox Live Gold subscription, but luckily for players, the company reversed its decision in less than 24 hours after receiving backlash from fans. However, one of the most significant changes introduced to Xbox Live Gold is that players no longer require a subscription to access free-to-play games such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, and the like....

Xbox’s Game Pass subscription continues to rapidly grow, with December 2018 bringing about a new wave of exciting titles free for subscribers to download and play. Yesterday during The Game Awards 2018, Xbox’s Phil Spencer announced the holiday season’s lineup for Winter of Arcade, an annual barrage of indie game releases. Several of those games were confirmed as Game Pass releases, a treasure trove in and of itself, but today, Microsoft revealed that there are even more Game Pass December additions left to show....

When they first unveiled the Xbox One back in May, Microsoft announced a console that was trying to do something new. Microsoft could see that the writing was on the wall - that digital sales were the future - and so they built a console and curated policies that would reflect that future. However, alongside a console that included the ability to resell digital games and share them with up to 10 family members/friends, Microsoft also outright nixed the Xbox One’s ability to play used games and made 24-hour Internet check-ins a requirement....

But, over time, Kiryu can adapt and get used to a mobile phone. The real sense of alienation in Yakuza Kiwami comes from being told that there’s a new nightclub across the street from Serena called Stardust....

In July, popular World of Warcraft streamer Byron “Reckful” Bernstein took his own life. The WoW community was stunned that a pillar of their community was suddenly gone, with tributes pouring in from fellow streamers and fans. The demo for PS4 exclusive Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is headed back to PSN, according to its developers. A demo was previously released, but had to be taken down when it was found it allowed users to download the full game and not just a trial version.
