Final Fantasy 10 was the first in the Final Fantasy franchise to release for the PlayStation 2. It introduced a whole new generation of fans to the series but also rewarded long-term fans with the benefits of new technology. In case you somehow missed it, Wizards of the Coast recently announced the upcoming D&D Celebration 2020, scheduled to be held and streamed online September 18-20. Xbox Game Pass is a service that many players are familiar with on their Xbox consoles. Microsoft announces a price-cut for the Xbox One which, unsurprisingly, brings the console’s cost back down to match Sony’s PS4 just in time for holiday shoppers. The Xbox One will drop $50 in price in the United States, which means the console will be available for just $300. If that price point seems familiar to gamers, that’s because its the same deal that Microsoft ran on the console over the course of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales a few weeks ago....

The headlines surrounding Microsoft’s Inside Xbox presentation have largely been about the online backlash to the event. Edelweiss, the indie team behind Astebreed, a game where war is waged in outer space against an alien race, has released details on a much more down-to-earth title. The game, called Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, which merges side-scrolling action with deep crafting and farming simulation, seems to echo the much more modern sentiment that the enemy is here among us. In Sakuna, players assume the identity of the title protagonist, a harvest goddess who is exiled to a treacherous island with a group of outcasts....

During the Minecraft Live event last weekend, we were introduced to a variety of new features, including a brand new type of ore. That ore is copper, which can be used to craft telescopes, construct lightning rods, and give your roofs a new dimension. The tricky part is that copper will oxidize with time, turning from orange to green. However, you aren’t stuck with just these two colors, because Minecraft update 1....

A week ago, our very own Kirk McKeand took a peek at the PS5 to see how good of a next-gen console it really was. We’re happy to report that he found no faults with Sony’s new gaming machine and not a whiff of heat issues that some have reported.
