The World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-patch has brought massive changes to Azeroth including a level squish, class changes, and timewalking expansions for new alts. In addition, the update also loosened many of the older Battle for Azeroth requirements needed to unlock the various allied races. At the end of Legion, the allied race system was introduced to add various playable races without having to wait for new expansions. A new console generation will be starting soon, and people within Microsoft are confident that it won’t be the last. The 2020 holiday season will see the beginning of a new console war, as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are due to hit the market at the end of the year. The whole Epic vs. Apple court case, which got started earlier this week, is proving to be a bonanza of information. We’re finding out stuff about Epic’s business model that we never would have had access to otherwise, and we’re finding out that the heads of these huge companies often chat with each other. For example, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney had an email conversation with Xbox chief Phil Spencer last summer about the upcoming lawsuit....

UPDATE 11/6: Full Xbox Live services have been restored as of 11:00pm CT. Original story follows. Earlier this evening, Xbox Live services went down for some users, making it impossible for some to access their digitally downloaded games across Xbox One and Xbox 360. Xbox Support tweeted about the incident, stating that it is aware of the problem and that its engineers are working to resolve the issue. From our own testing, we can confirm that not everyone is experiencing the service outage....

The price of access to Xbox Live is now $100 a year from this point forward, as Microsoft has delisted the option to purchase a Live Gold subscription on a yearly basis. Unfortunately, this was not a mistake on Microsoft’s part and appears to be part of a push to move gamers to its Game Pass Ultimate service—a decision that will undoubtedly cost more, but may ultimately provide more value....

One technologically inclined YouTube user and gaming fan manages to get Microsoft’s classic Windows 95 operating system up and running on the Xbox One console. While Xbox One developers have hit a veritable home run with its fan base by incorporating backward compatibility as a feature for the current generation console, one gamer has decided to give the concept a completely new meaning by getting the platform to run the old school computer operating system Windows 95....

With the Xbox Series X launching in November, Microsoft has a number of assets invested in the gaming industry, and it looks like the company might be expanding those investments in the future. According to new documents, Microsoft may be looking at expanding Xbox Games Studios, the branch that manages first-party developers that make content exclusive to Xbox consoles. This news was first shared on Twitter by @Klobrille, an industry insider who closely follows the work of Xbox Games Studios, and previously broke news like the changes coming to Halo Infinite multiplayer....

We might be getting a new Fable game. Finally. Xbox Series X is coming this holiday season. So far, we know that Halo Infinite is definitely going to be a launch title, along with Senua’s Sage: Hellblade 2, Gods And Monsters, and Watch Dogs Legions. Only two of those games are Xbox exclusive titles, and while we’re certain that Halo will generate a lot of buzz, Microsoft could use another big name to help ’em out....

Recently, YouTuber Tyler Sederwall–otherwise known as AttackingTucans– finished a “Tiny Park” in Planet Coaster where he faced a number of challenges when building the park including the limited amount of space available to build it. 15 building session videos and at least a hundred-plus hours of work, he has completed an incredibly detailed park sure to have any Planet Coaster (or amusement park) enthusiasts excited to check it out. “Sapphire City” is the name of the Vaporwave-themed tiny park and it packs a ton of rides in, 23 to be exact with nine roller coasters, one river-rapids ride, and one haunted dark ride featured throughout....
