The ending of Far Cry 5 was a big decision for Ubisoft, and it’s one that will forever change the canon of the series. It set up Far Cry New Dawn to be a bright and colorful post-apocalyptic experience, but it also means the studio essentially blew up all of the franchise’s previous settings as a result. Ubisoft confirmed that Russia, China, USA, and Europe essentially entered a global nuclear conflict, though Far Cry New Dawn retains its focus on the familiar setting of Hope County....

Marvel has already established its cinematic universe and is swiftly moving on to unlock the Multiverse in upcoming features. DC, on the other hand, is still struggling to get its extended universe up and running, despite Zack Snyder’s plans to ignite it. Yakuza: Like a Dragon does an incredible job of bringing the Yokohama district of Isezaki Ijincho to life thanks to its crowds of NPCs. But those same NPCs can sometimes cause pathing problems for Ichiban’s party members, especially if the player decides to take a circuitous route to their destination. Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the original Yakuza game, utilizing the engine that Yakuza 0 played on. It featured new additions such as multiple fighting styles as opposed to just one, the Majima Everywhere system, and plenty of new Substories. Yakuza Kiwami came out shortly after Yakuza 0, and, as such, many of the Substories feature both characters and previous plotlines carried over to have the stories continued. Yasuo and Lee Sin are two of many champions set to receive buffs in upcoming League of Legends patch 10.25. A new open-world Star Wars game is currently in development at Ubisoft Massive, with Lucasfilm Games breaking the exclusive hold that EA has had over publishing the franchise’s games.
