World of Warcraft fans that were hoping the new Shadowlands expansion would save 2020 got some disappointing news today. It turns out the WoW team has decided to delay the expansion until sometime later this year. This pushes it back from its scheduled October 27 releases date, although a Shadowlands pre-patch is still slated for October 13. John Hight, executive producer of WoW, made the delay known on the Blizzard blog and social media....

The World of Warcraft Companion App for Android and iOS has gotten a major overhaul ahead of the release of the next expansion, Shadowlands. Originally released two years ago during the Battle for Azeroth launch, the Companion App has been a great tool to help players manage their missions while on the go. First created for the Garrisons in Warlords of Draenor, missions have become a staple in each subsequent WoW expansion as a way to earn resources and items passively....

Xbox boss Phil Spencer suggests that Microsoft could look into bringing some of the original Xbox games library to the Xbox One via backward compatibility. It would be an understatement to sum up the last few months for the Xbox One as just improved sales. Although the Xbox One is continuing to outsell the PS4 after years of Sony dominance, the console has also looked healthier in terms of the quality of its ever-expanding games library, with releases like Gears of War 4 going a long way to improving the system’s first party selection....

Wizards of the Coast has announced that its next Secret Lair event will be an unusual crossover with AMC’s The Walking Dead. From October 4th to 12th, players can pre-order a set of limited-edition, unique Magic cards with exclusive art that depicts TWD’s cast of characters. The cards are said to bring “unique gameplay and text,” so this won’t simply be a batch of relabeled standard Magic cards with TWD characters instead of angels or wizards....

Microsoft has revealed two new, custom-designed Xbox Series X controllers in collaboration with the hit Disney+ series, The Mandalorian. The release of The Mandalorian-themed controllers comes just in time for its Season 2 finale streaming on Friday, December 18. The series set in the Star Wars universe takes place approximately 10 years after the events of the original trilogy. The show has proven so popular that Disney recently announced a slew of spin-offs, some of which directly tie in to The Mandalorian....

Feral Interactive’s popular strategy game costs more than your typical iOS game at $25, but includes the War of the Chosen expansion along with four other DLC packs. You’ll need a decent amount of storage space available to download XCOM 2 Collection, which requires at least 8.5GB for installation. Interestingly, though, the developers “recommend having at least 17GB of free space to avoid installation issues....
