Though the December holiday season has passed it is still winter in the northern hemisphere, and video game developers continue to celebrate. Overwatch fans can still access a winter-themed Hanamura map, for example, and yesterday Finnish developer Bugbear Entertainment announced the launch of a Winter Fest tournament in its racing game Wreckfest. The headlining event in Wreckfest’s Winter Fest tournament is “Snowball Run,” in which players can use the Power Rocket item to launch giant snowballs at their opponents, destroying their vehicles and different set pieces around the snowy, slippery tracks, based on a short trailer released for the January 2021 update....

Another weekly Xbox sale is being held, an appropriate follow-up of sorts to the now concluded Xbox Spring Sale. Introducing the Xbox Spring Add-On Sale, a sale focused entirely on discounted DLC. The sale includes premium currency, Season Passes, expansions, and more, most of which has had its price cut 50% or more. The Xbox Spring Sale will only last a week, with the discounts remaining available through May 13....

Although many of the Xbox One’s core features (i.e. playing games and watching movies) will be available at launch, there are several that will not. Some, like indie games, will come at a later date, while others have yet to be fully fleshed out. If you’re desperate enough for a Series X then there are some available via resale sites. However, the mark-up on the price is significant.
