Obsidian Entertainment is getting close to the two year anniversary of its acquisition by Microsoft. Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the series’ first foray into the RPG genre, was a massive hit among old and new fans and an undeniable sales success for Sega. But, while it did launch as one of the first games available for Microsoft’s new Xbox Series X/S consoles, PlayStation 5 owners have been left waiting a few extra months to enjoy the game on Sony’s new hardware. Fortunately, anyone who bought Yakuza: Like a Dragon for the PlayStation 4 was also guaranteed a free upgrade to the PS5 version once it became available, which has been one of the key appeals of many cross-gen titles....

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the first main title in the Yakuza series to switch up the playable protagonist from Kazuma Kiryu, and instead, it treated players to Ichiban Kasuga as the main character. Yesterday, Nintendo aired a surprise Super Mario Direct in honour of the series’ 35th anniversary. Thanks to an odd feature among some Animal Crossing: New Horizons critters, you can set yourself up with what players have decided to declare makeshift pets. Unfortunately, this doesn’t include a cat or dog despite the fact that the game has a Dog House and Cat Scratching Post as available furniture. To do this, players have set up caught sea creatures in their homes that don’t need tanks to be their “pet” – you drop them on the ground and instead of being in a cage or tank, they’ll just kind of be there....
