Game developer CD Projekt Red officially declares that “this is the end,” when it comes to the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Blood and Wine expansion pack. According to an interview between CD Projekt Red’s co-founder Marcin Iwinski and the press outlet Eurogamer, once The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s last expansion, Blood and Wine, launches at the end of this month, the studio does not have another Witcher release in any stage of development, nor does it have one planned at all....

Wednesday afternoon WWE CEO Vince McMahon announced on an all-employee conference call that “cutbacks and furloughs” of WWE staff were being made. In the hours since, WWE has announced the release of 10 wrestlers, including Kurt Angle and Drake Maverick, and reportedly furloughed nine producers. More release announcements are expected. The list of wrestlers being released includes: Kurt Angle, who retired in 2019 but is said to have been doing producer work; Drake Maverick, who was recently confirmed for the NXT’s Cruiserweight tournament; The OC tag team members Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson; TNA fan-favorite EC3; Curt Hawkins; Lio Rush; Heath Slater; Eric Young; and Sarah Logan....

Xbox Design Labs is back and is now letting Xbox owners customize their own next-gen controllers for Xbox Series X|S. Announced during Xbox’s Extended Showcase earlier today, Xbox is now letting players design and purchase their own personalized Xbox controllers. As explained during the showcase, Design Lab has been around for a while but went on hiatus during the launch of the Xbox Series X. Microsoft’s team of Xbox Ambassadors is collecting LGBTQIA+ fans’ personal stories for potential inclusion in their upcoming media celebrating Pride Month. They detail that these stories should be about what gaming means to those who participate, and can be submitted in any format — text, audio, or video; the deadline to submit for Xbox’s feature is May 31st. Selected submissions will appear on the Xbox Ambassadors Community blog, Xbox Wire, and potentially other media outlets as well....

A recent update to Microsoft’s service agreement referred to Xbox Live as “Xbox online service.” This prompted some to speculate that Microsoft could be re-branding Xbox Live or even discontinuing the service. However, in a statement released to The Verge, a Microsoft representative clarified the reasoning behind this service update and new terminology. “The update to ‘Xbox online service’ in the Microsoft Services Agreement refers to the underlying Xbox service that includes features like cross-saves and friend requests,” reads the statement....

When Microsoft revealed the first few photos of the Project Scorpio developer’s kit, many gamers were intrigued by the small screen on the front of the device that shows framerate information and other data.
