Despite claims by Microsoft that talk of their next Xbox won’t be present at E3 2012 (which, according to the platform holder, is the year of the Xbox 360), rumors pertaining to the next-generation console keep circulating. The latest speculation comes in the form of the Xbox 360 successor apparently requiring an always-on Internet connection to even operate the console - as well as other intriguing elements attached to the yet-to-be announced console....

LG Electronics has announced an exclusive marketing partnership with Xbox for the launch of Xbox Series X/S. Courtesy of this, LG is now the official TV Partner for the most powerful Xbox console to this date in prominent regions across the world that includes Europe, Africa, Middle-East and the Asia Pacific. With the global launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X, many people will be looking to upgrade their TV to take full advantage of these consoles’ capabilities, which includes 4K gaming up to 120 frames per second....

At E3 2014 we finally got the chance to go hands-on with Sony’s new VR headset, Project Morpheus. However, while the tech itself is certainly progressing along nicely, the tech demos we saw firmly established that Morpheus is still very much a work in progress. The first trailer for Marvel’s WandaVision on Disney+ has got fans talking with its eerie and unsettling approach to sitcom domestic bliss between one one of the MCU’s most powerful magic users and her synthetic husband. What makes it even more unsettling is that the husband in question has been dead since 2018, thanks to Thanos and the events of Avengers: Infinity War. When you combine this with the multiple sitcom homages that run the gamut from black and white 1950s wholesome escapades to ones that look like they would have been right at home in the ’70s, ’80s, or ’90s, it’s understandable why some fans might want to know when WandaVision actually takes place....

This past year Microsoft made its largest gaming-related acquisition yet, picking up ZeniMax Media and its subsidiaries like Bethesda. It was just the latest in a string of high-profile studio acquisitions to bolster the Xbox Series X’s future gaming line-up. Yet even as the ZeniMax deal was being finalized, Microsoft made clear it would continue to aggressively pursue future acquisitions. Business Insider reports that the Xbox team is working on ways to circumvent Apple’s rules and bring xCloud and Game Pass to iOS devices. The report claims that Head of Xbox Phil Spencer told employees that “we absolutely will end up on iOS” in regards to the chances of some of Microsoft services being available on Apple devices sometime in the future. As we previously mentioned in a report on Microsoft’s battle with Apple over this matter, xCloud and Game Pass are currently blocked from appearing on Apple’s App Store due to policies that prevent approved iOS apps from offering users the chance to make purchases and downloads from outside of the Apple ecosystem....

Last year was a frustrating time to be an Xbox Series X owner.
