The recent Xbox Series S reveal has quickly become the biggest news of the day, with the trailer jumping to #2 trending on YouTube at the time of this writing. However, hidden among the new specs and price point of the upcoming Next-Gen console may have been a slight reveal that could hint at details for the Beyond Light expansion coming to Destiny 2 this November. Fans were quick to point out a small detail in the Destiny 2 segment of the Xbox Series S reveal trailer, quickly posting their findings to Reddit and speculating on what it could mean....

In 2020, gamers will be seeing the launch of a brand new Xbox console in the Xbox Series X. The new next-generation console will sport some impressive tech specs and will undoubtedly move the medium of video games forward. At this point, though, it’s unclear what games fans should expect on the hardware outside of the few confirmed launch titles and current-generation ports. Last week, it was announced that the Xbox Series X would be receiving a new feature known as FPS Boost that dramatically enhances the frame rate of specific backward compatible titles. The lineup currently boasts a small selection of popular games, including Watch Dogs 2, UFC 4, Lucky’s Tale, Far Cry 4, and Sniper Elite 4, with more to come in the future. However, it seems the FPS Boost feature will be exclusively used for Xbox One titles for now, with Xbox’s Director of Program Management, Jason Ronald, confirming the team is still “evaluating” whether the technology will work with original Xbox and Xbox 360 releases....

The latest Yakuza: Like A Dragon trailer makes a lot of unsubstantiated claims that we simply cannot confirm without ruining our journalistic integrity. But it is funny at least. Yakuza: Like A Dragon is certainly coming to next-gen consoles, but it’ll arrive on the Xbox Series X first thanks to Microsoft’s backroom dealings with Sega. As one of the Series X’s few launch titles, we’ll get to see Yakuza in beautiful 4K at 60fps with better textures and near-instant loading times....

Anticipation for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s final DLC is running high, especially as the game approaches its first anniversary. Neither Bandai Namco Entertainment nor CyberConnect2 have dropped any hints about how they plan on celebrating this anniversary in the game, but fans are expecting some kind of in-game event or big reveal. Naturally, the best case scenario for fans would be DLC 3 releasing on January 16th for the game’s anniversary, but fans would be wise to assess how likely that situation is given the history of Kakarot’s other DLC releases....

World of Warcraft Shadowlands is now just about one month away from launch and players are still anxiously awaiting an official release date confirmation for the upcoming expansion’s two pre-patches. The first of those updates is likely to bring along the major level squish to the iconic MMO, which will forever change the way that alts and new characters progress through content in Azeroth from levels 1-50. When the level squish arrives, level 120 characters will hit the new temporary max level of 50 for a few weeks until Shadowlands arrives and raises the cap back up to 60....

Gamescom 2017 is currently in full swing after Microsoft kicked the event off with a 90 minute presentation.
